FACIAL REJUVENATION
One of the things we are proud to offer is cosmetic acupuncture, also known as facial rejuvenation or facial acupuncture. The use of acupuncture in the service of beauty is thousands of years old — so you don't look thousands of years old! Acupuncture's ability to improve a variety of skin conditions has now been documented in clinical studies.

In the Traditional Chinese Medicine view, a person's face is affected by specific internal organs. Facial features reflect organic strengths, and as internal organs are fortified, your face will reflect that improvement. Besides addressing a patient's condition holistically, the practitioner will probably work locally, inserting painless, ultra-fine needles into and around specific wrinkles, or acupuncture points. An imperceptible electrical current may also be utilized if appropriate.

It took decades of stress, sun damage and exposure to environmental toxins for your skin to reach the state it's in, and damage cannot be instantly removed. Cosmetic acupuncture involves no incisions, sutures or acid peels, so it will not produce sudden, drastic changes in underlying structures immediately. What cosmetic acupuncture can do is reduce fine lines and soften deeper ones. You may experience some firming (around the jowls, for instance), and a reduction in the size of bags under your eyes. People also report enhanced skin tone, and a refreshed sparkle to their eyes.

Since facial acupuncture is based on the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine, a person's overall health also usually improves. For instance, you might start sleeping better, or lose a few pounds. Cosmetic acupuncture is really a whole-body treatment. Call us and we'll we happy to discuss it with you.
