Welcome to the On Wellness Clinic. We are conveniently located in downtown San Francisco, in the heart of the financial district. We employ the principles of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) to treat issues of chronic and acute pain, stress and anxiety, fatigue, respiratory and digestive disorders, as well as women's health issues.

We currently offer a wide breadth of holistic modalities to maximize your health and wellness. We offer acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, and acupressure (Shiatsu, Tui na, and Auricular therapy) combined to create a treatment plan appropriate for your situation. These therapeutic modalities can be described as follows:
Acupuncture ::: Gentle insertion of hair-fine single-use needles to regulate blood and qi in the body. Patients often feel a sense of warmth, heaviness, or numbness around the needle, which is the "de-qi" or the qi sensation associated with maximizing the benefits of acupuncture.
Chinese herbal medicine ::: Safe, effective modality without the toxic side-effects of many western medicine drugs. Unlike prescription drugs, these formulas are specially tailored to suit you specifically.
Shiatsu ::: Japanese-style massage that utilizes finger and palm pressure to restore equilibrium and harmony in the body.
Tui na ::: Chinese massage with techniques of kneading, grasping, pressing, stretching and shaking to open the flow of qi in the muscular meridians.
Auricular therapy ::: Stimulation of the ear to effectively treat all parts of the body in an integrated Chinese and Western model of medicine.

| BEFORE YOU ARRIVE |
Some bodywork is usually performed, so loose fitting clothes (like gym gear) are best. Please do not brush your tongue the day of your appointment, for a key diagnostic tool for us is the examination of the coating on your tongue. Occasionally herbal liniments are applied, so please advise us of any allergies and be aware the herbal aroma may linger on clothes.
Have a light snack a half hour to an hour before your appointment. And afterwards, be sure to drink plenty of water to flush out the toxins and blockages we will be clearing in the body.

Showing On, L.Ac, M.S., CMT, is the sole proprietor and licensed acupuncturist of the On Wellness Clinic. She received her four-year medical training from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and undergraduate degree from the University of California at Berkeley.
